Is there something troubling you.....
…. maybe you feel anxious or depressed, struggling with an unhealthy addiction, feeling stressed out or trying to cope with traumatic memories? We all need help at some point in our lives and we are here to offer you a safe place to talk.
What is counselling?
Counselling provides a supportive, creative relationship for facilitating personal hope and growth. It involves listening and not advice giving and discovering new resources to deal with your problems.
What do we offer?
We offer professional counselling for individuals, using an integrative model. It is available to all in the community, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, religious views, or sexuality. It is a safe, secure, confidential service. Each counsellor is professionally trained, accountable through regular supervision and works within a professional code of ethics.
We offer an initial interview, which helps us match our service to your needs as closely as we can. If after this interview you decide to continue, you will be allocated a counsellor who will contact you directly.
Where and When?
Counselling usually takes place at Central Hall, St Mary Street, Southampton. Times can be arranged to suit you and your counsellor; usually on a weekly basis.
We believe we are offering something of value so there is a cost involved. The initial interview is £30 and ongoing counselling sessions are between £40 and £50 per hour. We do operate a bursary scheme, subject to funds, and that will be explained at the initial interview.
